Production of theatre festival is always tricky. There's a lots of factors that are difficult to predict and as the time shrinks and the D day is getting closer and closer, more and more flaws in production appears.
"Theatre festival Sněz tu žábu / Mange ta grenouille takes four days, but the production starts about five months earlier", Natálie Preslová, the main dramaturgist says. "During first years of our festival, we've been preparing and screening surtitles using PowerPoint. Preparation of surtitles for about eight plays took 2 or 3 days. Now it takes about one day." Natálie adds.
Festival Sněz tu žábu / Mange ta grenouille now uses app Surtitles for theatre for preparation of all supertitles in cast plays. According to main dramaturgist, the app saves about 1 day of work on surtitles.

In addition, festival Sněz tu žábu / Mange ta grenouille gained more options to improve quality of production. The main aspects are -
- Translation of supertitles may be made independently on other people. Translators may work until the last moment, then they deliver .subt file which is directly intended for screening.
- Option to screen subtitles to external screens, TVs or mobile devices which are out of reach standard HDMI/VGA cables.
- Option to adjust screening area independently. In each play, the projection may have different aspect ratio, size and position.
- Option to change font, size and colors of surtitles on the run.
French theatre festival in Prague is planning to go on with using the surtitles in next years. For theatre festival based on foreign audience, or audience with no proper knowledge of performed play, it's a must.
